Before you ask
- My basement slab gets damp. Can it still be coated?
- It depends on the slab, so we need to look at it before answering. Moisture is the single most important thing to establish before any coating goes down, and we would rather tell you it is a problem than coat over it.
- Can you coat a room that has a drain or a sump in it?
- Yes. Drains and sumps get detailed around as part of the work.
- Does the room have to be empty?
- Yes — the full slab needs to be clear and accessible so the floor can be ground and coated edge to edge.
